The Wounded Heroes of Maine Program is a pilot project of WLF that will help our troops who have been injured to transition from active duty to civilian life. There are many difficulties involved with this, even more so for those hurt in the service of our country. This program will help them with paperwork and administrative functions related to gaining access to all the services and assistance they have earned with their sacrifice.
Our volunteers will help them navigate all of the various bureaucracies, find adequate housing, look for work and anything else that will make their transition as smooth as possible.
We will be capturing as much information about the federal, VA and other national programs as possible so that we can roll this program out to other areas and eventually nationwide.
The POC in Maine is Pam Payeur and she can be reached at
pam.payeur@warriorlegacyfoundation.orgOur Wounded Warriors of Maine volunteers at a fundraiser for the program. The motorcycle was donated by USA Lock and Load gear.

The
legacy of America’s Warriors will long be preserved for all generations to
admire.
