Once again, many thanks to so many who work to put on events to help Wounded Heroes Program of Maine help our wounded servicemembers and their families in need. THANK YOU!
Team Wounded Heroes thanks everyone who worked so hard to help us help ‘them’ by putting on events for us.
Once again, RIDIN’ STEEL’S annual Cabin Fever Reliever was a huge success! Wounded Heroes Program of Maine is humbled to benefit and be a part of this event. Many thanks to Stephen Marois and his RIDIN’ STEEL crew of volunteers who work so hard to promote the many groups holding charity bike runs each year. And thank you to all who extended such a warm welcome in response to my time speaking to the attendants. THANK YOU.
I am pleased to share our new logo for Wounded Heroes Program of Maine. Thank you to Steve Marois of RIDIN’ STEEL, and Roland Doiron from RoTV/Animations for this incredible surprise gift. We are so proud to have our unique, spiffy look!
Honoring our wounded veterans in transitional housing.
We can’t thank our Biddeford Olive Garden Restaurant and Scarborough Cabela’s enough for their generous support of our veterans in transitional housing in the Biddeford/Saco area. For our annual holiday gathering for our residents, Olive Garden provided an abundant lunch to enjoy. Cabela’s gave each of the residents a much-appreciated three-season jacket. They proudly wear them in this photo. Dec. 2012.
Team Wounded Heroes, once again, with the help of so many businesses, groups, and individuals, was able to provide wounded families all over the state of Maine with a beautiful Christmas. Our volunteer elves made deliveries, leaving our families with smiles and heartfelt gratitude. We are honored to make sure the brave little ones of our wounded servicemembers find plenty of Christmas magic under the tree on Christmas morning.
Wreaths Across America at Cabela’s 2012
Team Wounded Heroes is so proud to be part of this event, as the Wreaths convoy makes its final stop in Maine before heading to Arlington National Cemetery to lay tens of thousand of beautiful wreaths, donated by Worcester Wreath Company from Harrington, Maine. As we lined the majestic entrance to Cabela’s with hundreds of luminarias and flags, we excitedly awaited the huge convoy of haulers and other vehicles. The members of the convoy spent a very long day with many stops to carry out the Wreaths Across America mission; Remember, Honor, Teach.
Wounded Heroes Thanksgiving 2012
Many wounded families in Maine enjoyed a bountiful Thanksgiving in their homes thanks to the generosity of so many. The fantastic supporters of our servicemembers made it possible for Team Wounded Heroes to provide Thanksgiving dinner as well as stock the pantries for our deserving heroes. THANK YOU!
Wounded Heroes Program of Maine is proud to work with Wreaths Across America and Cabela’s Scarborough. To be part of such a great project each year as our great state is so well represented by the folks from Rolling Thunder, Patriot Riders, Patriot Guard, and more. Hundreds of people convoy down to Arlington to pay respect to the lost servicemembers that have been laid to rest there.
Please join Team Wounded Heroes on Sunday, December 9th, as we team with Cabela’s in Scarborough to welcome the Wreaths Across American convoy. With holiday cheer and ceremonies, we honor the great folks who bring the thousands of wreaths from Worcester Wreath Company – a Maine company – down to Arlington National Cemetery. Help us light the way to Remember, Honor, Teach. 6pm.
Please help Wounded Heroes of Maine provide some Christmas magic for our deserving families! We fulfill wish lists for the children and make sure they get a visit from Santa on Christmas morning! We are collecting toys, games, books, crafts, clothes, and many other items. We also collect gift cards for the families to shop on their own. (WalMart, Target, etc.)
THANK YOU for helping us help them.
